Us Time

‘Us time’ is where you make positive efforts to spend time and energy on your family and friends. When we are busy with work or suffering form stress, we can drift away from those we love. Allocate ‘us time’ each week and if possible each day. Don’t allow other pressures to eat into this time. Encourage those you love to do the same.

How this helps you lose weight: Keeping the support of those we love is important, as is valuing their input to your diet and slimming. Not everyone needs family and friends to motivate, however if you respond well to such motivation then this could be the key to your slimming success.

Relaxing in the company of family and friends can also help you focus on issues and events outside of yourself, so issues that might start to influence emotional or boredom eating are suppressed.
